The Chamonix Collective
Sluff has been involved in setting up a new website based around mountain sports in Chamonix. The collective has been designed to have many contributors each supplying stories, pictures and videos of their experiences in the mountains.
Some Brand new Marques
A few new marques we’ve done recently, see more of our logos at the bottom of our design page.
Oui tree is a new agency which handles various services within the valley. They specialise in childcare (Oui Care) and cleaning services (Oui Clean)… Expect more from Oui in the future. Their website was designed by Chamonix flash expert, Jack Flash.
Custom hats made right here in Chamonix!
Ski Factory is a new ski tuition service within the valley run by local Loic Parisot who not only provides an excellent range of lesson services but is without a doubt one of the nicest guys you’ll meet.
Winter Sessions
Sluff was awarded the contract for this seasons campaign! Working with a group of photographers we’ve come up with quite an abstract look and feel which really helps illustrate the events music and arts roots.
Design Update

User Defined 360˚ Video!
This is a great idea, you can pan around during the video and see everything around you. Can’t believe I’ve not seen anyone do this with video before! With so much media now online it would be nice to see the usability of the computer being taken advantage of.

Freeze Rentals
We have been busy with the guys from Freeze ProShop developing a new ski and snowboard rental and servicing centre in Chamonix. Its going to be unlike anything else here already, renting only the highest end equipment (no more ‘expert’ level rental skis that are in fact…piste skis) and avalanche gear. Not only will it deal with rentals but a fully equipped service centre with highly trained professionals will collect, service and deliver your skis the same night! sluff & world sessions
Sluff has been approached by world sessions to carry out their design work. This should lead us down some lovely avenues not least being this winters ‘Winter Sessions’ marketing material.
CHAMONIX FREERIDE CENTRE
Sluff has been asked to create the branding for the new Chamonix Freeride Centre which opens this winter. VERY EXCITING! Its a joint project with Oakley, Black Diamond and a new boot fitting concept – The Boot Shop. Check back for updates and more on whats happening with with the centre soon.
The City Golf Championship
Sluff Media was asked by events company Haute Pursuit to create the identity for their newest venture, The City Golf Championships which will take place later this year. The site was created by Alpine Web Design.

So first off let us apologise for being bad at updating the site. We could give you a load of excuses like we’ve been curing diseases and fighting forrest fires but in reality we’ve been doing LOTS of design work and plenty of climbing and mountain biking! The good news however is we do have a lot of new work to put on the site soon! So please check back soon to see what fun times we’ve been having!
Text Bombing
Came across this! I don’t think the Marie would approve if I made one but its very cool! Its made from seven pens which lift up and down after being pre programmed with a message. Unfortunately it only speaks German just now… Maybe just as well!
Winter Sessions
The folks at winter sessions have their end of season bash this weekend. The weekender kicks off on Friday in the town and up the hill. Sluff has been helping out with a bit of artwork and will be filming the event alongside the very talented Chris Higam (peep his website). So I meant to post this a while ago but its never to late. If you haven’t heard of him already then give Dan Milners site a visit, some great shots of all his favourite things which given he lives in Chamonix you can probably guess what they are. His Blog is great too and gives a good insight to the ups and downs of an international
superstar photographer.

Broken Camera
So you may all notice a distinct lack of videos on our website! Our camera broke at the end of January this year and it was sent to ’specialist’ repair company A. J. Johnstone. It took them three weeks to get us a quote then despite many phone calls and emails we only received the camera back last week. Lots of broken promises, a large bill and a lot of time lost shooting. We don’t lke fighting but A. J. Johnstone we challenge you to a duel! If you ever have any camera problems our advice is DO NOT use A. J. Johnstone!
